Can I use the wiim usb port for audio out and a hardrive same time with a POWERED USB DUAL HUB.
Thanks

Yes, I'm using USB out to an external DAC via a 4-way hub with a 2TB HD attached to one of its other ports. I recall reading somewhere that 2TB may be the maximum capacity for an unpowered drive & this works without issue.

One more question.
Any noticeable degradation of the audio signal by combining all these together?

Being a night listener, definitely need the volume increments single jumps.
The 3 step jump is too much.
Since I'm using it as a preamp as well.

It's already available through the WiiM Home App, using the volume knob on the device and other apps like e.g. Tidal using Tidal Connect have supported this even before the official WiiM app did. It's just not available with the Bluetooth remote, at least not yet.

Make sure to select the output voltage that best fits your amplifier, first. There's no need to leave this at the default of 2 Vrms if either your amp has a high sensitivity or if you don't need it to play at its maximum power anyway.

Choosing a lower output volume will require you to select increase the volume setting bonnthe Ultra (absolutely nothing wrong with that, quite the contrary), but it will also reduce the difference in loudness from step to step. Don't hesitate trying out different values.

Oh,forgot to mention that I'm feeding the usb output into an external dac and from the dac to my power amps.

So maybe the remote will need to be updated

Well, my bad. Your question somehow implied you wanted to use an external DAC with the Ultra, since the USB out doesn't support anything else. 😂
