hi,

i have been having issues trying to get my system optimized for audio. it has mainly been used as a ht, with music playing through a yamaha avr.

i recently got 2 small class d amps. one is a fosi za3, the other is a douk a5. i have a pro plus for streaming and accessing my nas.

the douk has a sub out with a built in hpf, which is very nice. the one thing it doesn't have is a trigger in to turn it off after inactivity. the amp runs pretty warm as is, and stays pretty warm in standby. and that's with the 32v ps.

i'm wondering if i could get a mini to group with the pro plus (with the za3 as an amp). i would send a line level to the sub and have it crossover at 80 hz, essentially making it a hpf. then i'd do the reverse with the pro plus. i'd send it line level to the mains, and cut anything below 80hz to them.

is this feasible with that setup. would the mini do what i'm asking of it? the app would need to be doing the eq.

i don't think putting a large peq notch around 80hz with just the pro plus would work.

thanks

Hi,

I have my main speakers connected to the Ultra and 2 subwoofers connected to the Pro line out. I play these 2 WiiMs as a group and they generally work well.

The Pro plus and Mini work as well, but it may be difficult to achieve the exact same high/low pass filtering that the Ultra does with just the PEQ.

In my case, the low-pass is done on the sub side, and then the high-cut is done by the PEQ. I can cross the high pass on the main speakers at any frequency I want by turning on the subwoofer setting in Ultra.

If you can create a smooth high pass with the PEQ on the Pro plus, I think it will work.

thanks. i'll give that a try.
