UX improvements for DLNA/Home Music Share

Hi,
The vast majority of my WIIM usage with my 3 (soon to be 4) WIIM devices is streaming from mimimserver. It would be really nice if there were a couple of UX improvements in this area:

1. Access a media server directly from the Browse page, alongside other music services, rather than needing to go to Home Music Share first
2. A "tile" view option for browsing, rather than just a list view. Perhaps I'm strange, by my preferred way of choosing an album to listen to is to scroll through a view of large cover images, analogous to flipping through CDs or records.

Cheers!

Yes it supports ratings and favourites for tracks, albums and artists.

It doesn't do the sweet fades/playlist generation/metadata scraping that PlexAmp does, but for a local music server - with Symfonium support - it beats the others I've tried.
Thanks for the info! Might actually try it out if I find some time. Like the idea of a fallback option for Plex...

Seems no place yet to get it all for me... If WiiM supports plexamp endpoint it will come close for me honestly (plex limitations like classical, multi-artist, disc naming, multi versions of a release) as non deal-breakers).

If roon would support 5 star ratings that might also work for me but that is never happening 😂.

Album versions are on the OpenSubsonic radar but I have no idea when/if that will happen.
When you say Plex has a multi-artist limitation do you mean in terms of indexing?

Not a seperate artist but to appear under both artist lists. Maybe workarounds exist?

Maybe helpful. Not fully clear to me what here plays on WiiM and what doesn't..
Looks useful, although it's a little out of date and only reflects the web ui, not when used with a client like Symfonium.

The WHA only supports UPnP servers and Plex, but as long as you use a client that supports UPnP the server doesn't really matter as long as the track is served over http.

EDIT: Forgot to scroll down 😃. I'll try and get it updated.

Ah, multi-albumartist (in addition to no indexing of track artist).
My UPnP server doesn't support that so I don't have any tagged, and haven't tried it with LMS, but the documentation states it does.
