Very much appreciate seeing the improvements with the Home app in v3.0.5.

Several features that would be nice to have:
1. an option readily available in the Queue view to save the queue as a playlist.
2. when selecting a song (browsing in music library, or other) to have that song added by default as 'play next' in the queue order. Right now if you accidentally tap a song when viewing music it starts playing immediately and you lose all of your queue (queue is deleted). So if you have spent time setting up a queue of music to listen to, one mis-tap on the screen and you lose your work, so to speak.

Thank you again to Wiim developers for the recent updates.

Hi Cartman25, Team

Thank you so much for your fantastic suggestion to make the tapped song the default "play next" in the queue. We love the idea and are excited to share that our team plans to implement this feature within the next two weeks. Stay tuned for the update!

We’d love to hear more of your ideas—your feedback helps us improve every day. Keep them coming!

Some randomish thoughts on (2)

I like this also, but it's hard to please everyone, and changing this may annoy people who like the way it works now. Brushing a finger on a track is all too easy to do accidentally. Maybe add a setting that controls what happens? Some choices could be
  • the current behavior, the way the app works now
  • play next
  • play last
  • repeat the previous action
  • bring up a menu
Yes, I know this is work :)

Personally, I like to listen to classical music, which usually means adding three or more tracks to the queue in sequence. Bringing up the menu and choosing "Play Last" for each track is fairly laborious, it would be nice to have some way to make this easier. Defaulting to "play next" does accomplish that, although I would have to tap tracks in reverse order.

@WiiM Support: Ability to reorder the queue and reorder Presets.
Hi adias,

We’ve added support for queue reordering (and single track deletion) for USB contents, Qobuz, TIDAL, Amazon Music, and more. Please give it a try and let us know if it works for you.

As for presets reordering, we’re actively working on it and plan to release this feature by January, 2025.

Thank you for your patience and support!

@WiiM Support Where is the new queue management documented?

Queue reordering works really well fo Qobuz. 👍

FOR WIIM SUPPORT:

I have a lot of Amazon Unlimited playlists but both my WiiM devices (Ultra and a Pro Plus) only show playlists titled A-M and as I add more this restricts them further (was previously A-T). I can only view and play playlists from letters beyond O by playing via the Amazon app not via WiiM home.

Is there a limit to the number of Songs or Playlists that WiiM can handle and if so can you please create a way to fully synchronise with Amazon?

Thanks

If you search for a playlist that isn’t shown, it’ll be found that way. It may be a constraint of the Amazon Music API that WiiM use, but I’m aware they were working on integrating a new version of that API - that might overcome some of the existing limitations.

Best dropping a ticket to WiiM via the more/feedback section in the WiiM home app to get the latest on this. However, as you say, you can play them thru the Amazon Music app and cast to your WiiM device: indeed, I prefer using that route as the Amazon music app has more features than Amazon release thru their API (unsurprisingly).

Credit and thanks to the app team for the recent improvements. Well done. The functionality of the queue and searching music on a USB drive has been greatly improved in just a short time. As is the ability to edit the queue (delete songs, re-arrange the order) and easily add new songs to play next to play last.

Please consider to add a feature to "save queue to a new playlist" when viewing the queue.
