Volume LEDs turn on near end of track

When I play an album or a playlist to Squeezelite the volume LEDs go off while a track is playing but come on again near the end of a track before turning off again after the next track starts. I can't find a way to prevent this without completely turning off the LEDs. Not a major problem just annoying.
