I think we, in this forum, could benefit from compiling a list of the fixes for the WiiM firmware and app we are waiting for.
This shall NOT be a list of feature requests or beta test issues, only regular bugs we have seen and discussed in the forum.

The hope is that the @WiiM Team will prioritize this over new features, so that we can get a product that function as intended.

Note, this is not a critique of WiiM. They do more than most companies. With the fast release schedules it is expected that not all can be correct and fully tested.

Here is my initial list:
  • HDMI with CEC off don't behave as descibed and expected when TV is turned on.
  • WiiM Group volume is not used used when external apps are connected to Group (e.g. Spotify).
  • Renamed Input selections is not reflected on Ultra display.
  • Album name is missing on Ultra display when displaying track meta data.
  • Linked devices do not always show correct meta data on the other devices.
  • The VU meter display on Ultra freezes when playing paused, instead of going to zero.
  • Volume control in the WiiM Home App on Android do not work on all pages and when in the background.
Please add your outstanding issues to the list.

Please. Fix all the issues with the onboard DSP. EQ freezes and is very unpredictable. Often boosting when cutting. Improve GUI for EQ and filtering.

USB Media:
- Only the first 500 titles will be played from large playlists. That's especially annoying when shuffle is turned on and the first 500 tracks are not representative for the entire playlist.

- Albums with multiple discs won't be played in correct order even though each track has its disc number and track number stored in meta fields.

I noticed the same with DLNA: have you tried to change the sort order to default?
I just checked again: It's working as expected now 😲
I reported the issue last week and did not see it fixed in the change log. So I assumed it has not yet been fixed. Turned out to be wrong. Nice surprise! 😃

USB library does not understand various artist or compilation and creates hundreds (thousands) of albums. Also more than 1 artist in the artist field ie Eric Clapton & Tom Petty creates 2 albums.

Per post #5, above:

WiiM Home App only cues </= 502 tracks from a large DLNA library, rendering shuffle play useless for any library larger than 502 tracks.

Please provide as list with issues in outstanding tickets. See comment #1.

This thread is not for discussing the tickets, just a compilation.

Hi @hgo58, You had a really good idea. Congratulations 👏 👏
Here my issues list, repeatedly reported through the opening of tickets and never resolved.
1 ) In the evening I turn off the Ultra with the remote control, and sometimes in the morning I find it on. It has turned itself on again. I have been told that it periodically does reboots, but it turns off after that.
It does not !!! It turns on after rebooting and never turns off again. 😣
2) Unable to do ARC per channel with the Ultra connected to the Topping D70ProSabre (any connection USB ; SPDIF; COAX). Instead of the Sweep Tone, a noise of undefined nature is heard. Pink/White noise?🤔 De facto, the EQ fails or has absurd curves
3) The Topping has automatic on/off if it receives a signal or not. With the Ultra it never worked. The Ultra goes into standby by shutting off after the specified time interval (30 sec), but the Topping stays on. Evidently it still receives some kind of signal even with the Ultra on standby.
With the Pro and the Mini it works perfectly
As I said, I have opened several tickets about these failures, but without solutions. I hope that, finally, @WiiM Team ; @WiiM Support make up their minds to solve these problems

Set the AlbumArtist tag to 'Various Artists'.
WiiM uses ALBUM and ALBUMARTIST to group albums.

Discussed recently on another thread.

Please read the comments. This is not a discussion thread!
Sure, but it's not an outstanding issue, and downvoting is hardly going to help the user.

Issue: Use the metadata provided by the server on the Now Playing screen rather than the tags of the file being played (DLNA).

So that is the outstanding ticket?

This thread is for collecting outstanding issues that has been reported by the forum users, to help @WiiM Team to prioritize.

Hi @hgo58
I thought your proposal, since there are so many things to be fixed, would gather many more reports. 🤔
Apparently, that is not the case. Too bad, it was a chance to push @WiiM Team @WiiM Support to fix things
Yes. Looks like nobody in this forum has any outstanding tickets.

Maybe some forum members have not seen it yet, so I will just wait before compiling the results and forward to WiiM.
