I was streaming music for a very long time but got fed up with skipping tracks until I found something I liked and never listening to a full album.
I decided to buy a turntable at the beginning of January (Technics 1200 Mk7) and went down the rabbit hole of listing albums from my past to try and purchase.
Since then I've bought 115 albums and I'm constantly adding to my want list. I know find myself listening to the full album.
It's rare I stream anything whilst at home now and only really stream when I'm out and about.
My wiim ultra is now just used as a phono stage.
Thanks for sharing. Interestingly your journey almost mirrors mine. 115 this year already? Jeez, that's some going!
I too found myself only streaming whilst driving or walking, then when I ended up working from home during lockdown I dusted down all my vinyl from the attic, bought myself some new kit, and went down a similar rabbit hole - but aiming to replace all the vinyl and cassettes I sold/binned

during the late 90s/early 00s.
It took me almost 3 years, as some of them were highly sought after (and silly money), but I finally got there last year. At the same time I was also adding all the LPs I missed out on first time around, and constantly growing my wants list on Discogs.
Like you, I enjoy listening to full albums again - streaming really killed that for me. Too easy to skip skip skip...
Loving my Ultra, primarily for my phono stage, with the odd Tidal stream for discovering potential new additions to the vinyl collection..
The joy is back.
