What are you listening to?

This is "interesting". Not sure I have ever read such BS from a major music website.
Just a journalist try to stand out.

I would say that all PF original albums are good but also different, because they are all made by talented musicians.

My "favourite" part was
"Animals was just a laser show looking for a soundtrack. If there's one ironclad rule of rock & roll, it's that songs about pigs are always lame."
He should tell George Harrison and Black Sabbath 🤣

I most certainly did!

So did I.

I find it strange tat the world has turned upside down with respect to albums and live music.

Back in the 70's gigs attending was dirt cheap and buying albums relatively expensive. Nowadays the opposite is true (and then some).

Although I went to Kingston College (1970-73) I remember seeing Jo Jo Gunne, East of Eden and Lindisfarne at Ewell Tech.

I discovered this artist yesterday by accident & have played this 2024 release on repeat on headphones and once extremely loud on the hifi (I knew that had hit the spot when it received my wife's single word comment "dreadful"....the most reliable marker of exceptional musical quality)

An album of music mostly from popular 60s songs that Skeewiff have doctored up, modernised and refreshed - highly recommend for anyone around or growing up in the UK in that era. Seminal funk, bossa, soul and bolero-mambo covers which are in most cases superior to the originals. This album is filled with rhythm, happiness...and Joy!

Who doesn't love Nancy Sinatra and Benny Hill?! Even tracks from Austin Powers and Shaft are in there.

Saw David Bowie (Ziggy Stardust) at Kingston Polytechnic in 1972.

I think I remember East of Eden gig, long time ago and memory isn't what it was. Different times.
