Although going by some of my recently played albums, some were very weird, and some were very good, and quite a lot from artists that I had never heard of, but that's the big benefit of being able to stream things that you would never even consider buying on LP or CD.

Here are some German-language artists/bands that I think are worth recommending. No claim to completeness, some of them accompanied me in my youth. As always, a matter of taste. I have left out German interprets/bands with English lyrics, they are mostly known beyond the borders anyway (Scorpions, Helloween, H-Blockx etc.).
