What are you listening to?

Nice HumminGuru. :)
I hesitated for ages whether to spend the money or not. But it was the totally right decision! So much quicker and easier to use than my old Record Doctor (based on the manual Nitty Gritty machines). And the cleaning performance is also much better.

If anybody is still undecided: Go for it!

I made it to the red album in the meantime:

There is still a long way to go until (ZZ) Top 😉

Had a nearly 15 year old Record Doctor till I gave away all my vinyl stuff a few months ago, most parts to the younger part of the family. Smuggled from America at a time record washing was a bit more excentrical than today. I never forget the faces of guests asking what it is. "A record washing machine!" Did the job ok, my records never were too dirty.
I would say it is similar to coffee: The grinder is more important than the coffee machine. A fresh washed vinyl is so much better!

I have had my HumminGuru for around a year, and was amazed at the transformation of the sound of my records, and the almost totally silent surface noise.

Are you putting your cleaned records in new inner sleeves?

The majority of my records have been purchased used, and the newest ones are around 40 years old, and many have been stored in unsuitable conditions, resulting in foxed inner sleeves, and mould patches, and other types of surface contamination.

After cleaning, I put my records in new inner sleeves, but keep any printed inner sleeves, and place them next to the new ones.

Exactly how I do it. (y) The trouble is, even new inner sleeves start to get a costly when you need them in batches of hundreds, not tenths. 😅

Looks like we found our new hot off-topic ...;)

I washed even new records before the first spin. Also new inner sleeves, and very often the original inner sleeves had and have text or artwork. So space sometimes was narrow bringing it back into the cover. Tempi passati, but still a small tear in my left eye. 😉

Again something completely different.
Never was a big fan of cross-over, although socialized as a boy with my father's Jacques Loussier "Play Bach" records. But this one is really fun! 👍

I'm already well into my second pack of 100 inner sleeves, and have purchased my third pack already. :)
