KATHLEEN EDWARDS
BILLIONAIRE
Kathleen returns with a new 10-song album that is full of Edwards' trademark lyrical sharpness and unflinching observations and was produced by Jason Isbell and Gena Johnson. Celebrated as one of the forebears of modern alt-country and Americana music, Edwards is beloved by fans and fellow musicians, and praised by The New York Times for her, "droll, observant and unsparing tone that is all her own. In her best lines, Edwards has the conversational vernacular and emotional eloquence of a great short-story writer."

I’m intrigued by their morphing from a spiky-sweet friend duo with three backers to this hard hitting 5 piece with Chambers hiding in the back under her hair and Teasdale as this superheroine ZFG front woman. If they return to Norway outside of the festival season I’ll find my ear plugs and go to one of my very rare amplified concerts.
On the main stage Hester Chambers was almost invisible until about 3/4 of the way through the set - a shadowy figure left of stage & almost never appeared on the screens but from then onwards she was occasionally filmed in close-up. Maybe she’s shy in front of large crowds? I don’t consider myself a ‘fan’ of Wet Leg but both performances were very enjoyable & Rhian Teasdale brimmed with sexually charged confidence throughout the main set.1755973174530.jpeg
