What are you listening to?

Took a break from the forum for a while but I missed interacting with everyone so I’m back. Jamming some Cool Ruler tonight. This is a great live album from one of the OG reggae legends.

This post isn’t so much about what I’m listening to but also about how I’m listening. There is no WiiM involved here but I think it would be great if WiiM could build a player along these lines. I’m using a Raspberry Pi Zero W piggy backed on a USB Powerbank and feeding an Audioquest Dragonfly which in turn is feeding my wired B&W P7s. It is a DAP with no local storage. Imagine if WiiM could package a player with a battery and DAC with headphone and BT out into one stylish phone sized device. I’m sure there would be a market.

Obviously Sony tried to digitally mimic the original black shrink-wrap outer cover of Wish You Were Here, but in a very crude and not true to the original way.

And once they were at it, they just kept going with all the other albums. I'm sure they felt very much avant-garde, when all they had was a silly idea.

The music is still worth listening. :D

Interesting. And above all, it's art. Nowadays, it's enough for a promoted music starlet to stick her butt in front of the camera... Yes, I actually miss the good old record covers. The music is one thing, the presentation of it is another.
