Styx - Paradise Theatre

This album contains my favourite Styx track, Snowblind (closely followed by Boat On The River on Cornerstone).

Shaman's Harvest (great Hard Rock).

Smokin' Hearts & Broken Guns is my favourite of their heavier albums

Red Hands Black Deeds is slighty mellower but still excellent nonetheless.

Spoiler - Mud 'n' Glitter (v heavy)

This one brings back memories of a funny incident....

For over 40 years myself and a bunch of 'music mates' meet regularly for a music night. Simple format - host provides the music system, snacks, a mid-evening meal & everyone brings their own beer & a selection of music, playing 4 or 5 tracks from each album in rotation. During food we normally watch music videos & back in our 'youth' we regularly finished after sun-up on a Saturday morning.

Anyway, one particular eve, around midnight I had presented this album as my next selection & of course had to play the cover version of 'Electrifying'.

Part way through the host's 17y old Daughter opened the door accompanied by a boyfriend no one had seen before.

At that very moment they were greeted with a huge wall of sound, six middle-aged heads nodding in unison & all singing "you're the one that I want" as loud as they could.

The Daughter's words were "I'm so sorry about my Dad and his weird friends" ....Needless to say that boyfriend was never heard of, spoken of or seen again!
