Sully Erna - Avalon

Every now & then I find an album that is really something. This is one of those.
Would’ve expected the vocalist for Godsmack to produce something with a similar level of heaviness.
Avalon is not like that at all but it is exceptionally good - dare I say better?

Lord of the Lost - Judas

Amazon threw this German band up last night as a recommendation and I must say it's pretty amazing. Loosely described as Symphonic Dark Metal but very melodic, a great vocalist with frequent almost heavenly choir (agnostic not religious) accompaniment which adds to a powerful, quite sinister atmosphere. Really enjoyable 'double album' with the first two releases of a trilogy to explore more 🤘

Edit: there are lots of other albums back to at least 2010 including instrumental versions of this & others.
