The Tiger Lillies - Shockheaded Peter (CD, Black Humour, Nightmare-Cabaret)

I am quite partial to the macabre and unusual, none more so than in 2004 when we watched The Tiger Lillies at the Lyric Theatre in Hammersmith. Six of us were there, including wives & it was one of very few times at a live performance that everyone agreed what a special evening it had been - regardless of bizarre male-falsetto vocals & surreally-shocking subject matter.

The band were & remain a cult, most live performances either produce fans for life or others leaving in disgust after just a few songs (the former far more than latter).
This video link https://www.tigerlillies.com/shockheaded-peter1 included part of that performance with a warning that the subject matter may offend those of a delicate nature, it’s all quite tongue in cheek (but still more PC than their other albums or live performances).

There are some irritations on the way and obviously different versions shown in the internet. I never had a copy in hands. Some pictures show something on the grill like a jester, some a horse and Google says is a Ford Mustang. Because of the logo on the hood I am sure it is a Ferrari.

Joe Jackson - Mr. Joe Jackson Presents: Max Champion in 'What a Racket!'

I guess I'm in a retro-cabaret mood this evening but will snap out of it after listening to this difficult to pigeon-hole album (I like him anyway and own a number of his LPs). Joe Jackson reimagining 1900s Music Hall songs...
