What is the signal path of the analog input?

I want to connect a computer to the Wiim Amp.
I have two output options. 3.5mm analog output from the motherboard. Or use a USB DAC's analog output to send to the Wiim Amp's analog input.
However, does the Wiim Amp process the analog input signal, converts it to digital, and then back to analog?

I'm not asking "which sounds better". I'm just asking if the Wiim Amp process the analog input through a ADC and then back through the Wiim Amp's DAC. That is all I'm asking.

I think the answer is yes.
You could also use a USB to Optical converter.

A cheap but very handy thing to have is a Behringer UCA202.
As well as being an ADC/DAC (USB Audio Interface) it also has an Optical out which makes it double as a USB to Optical converter.

It was about using the USB out simply as "power supply" for other things. Got my answer in between, so all is fine.
