Hi

If I buy wiim pro plus do I just need amplifier to run it?
Also which amplifier?
I have my eyes on :
Marantz pm6007
Denon pm-600ne
Rotel a11 tribute
Which will be the best?
Or maybe wiim amp instead of the separates or denon pma 900hne?
Used old bluesound powernode 2 before but wasn't happy.
I have monitor audio silver 200 speakers.

I have monitor audio silver 200 speakers.

Do you have a subwoofer?

Not interested in anything else, I want to my audio looks nice and play nice.
What looks nice is subjective I think.
Why not looking for the wiim pro and a geshelli labs amp?

Looks amazing but _ in my opinion _ wat counts is the sound.

Depends what your pairing with.
Marantz and Denon are similar due to shared mothership.
I only had vintage Rotels...the ones with handles and meters kind. Can't comment new ones.

If you want eye candy, it's hard to beat tube amps.

Personally I think the geshelli amps look great.
But to me it's all about the sound that's what's most important in my opinion.

For me they look funny, sorry but that's my opinion.
Also I want something from known brand due to obvious reasons.

They look great and they sound great.
I personally would go for the geshelli any time.
But everyone has to make their own choice of course..

Nobody knows, but you, which is best for you. How did you rule out the competition?
Like them all
Denon and marantz are cheaper and got coax & optical, rotel sounds probably the best but only got analog connections.
That's why I'm not sure which to chose.

Why not choose the Wiim amp I did read your comments back and saw this is also in your options.
WIIM amp sounds great..
But you have to chose..

Sorry, but this really is the type of question nobody can answer.

The facts are on the table: If you buy the Pro Plus, then all you need is any amplifier. The WiiM Amp OTOH is a all-in-one solution. Nobody can tell what makes a good amplifier or a known brand for you.

Basically I'm not sure what is the best that's all, posted here thinking someone may be more clever than me.
Before I used bluesound powernode 2 1st gen but I want something that sounds better, I wasn't really happy with bluesound.
I want something simple that's it

WiiM Amp, then.
Agreed.
I listened today again to the amp..the sound surprises me every time again.
Simply amazing..i always thought such experiences one could only have with an headphone but the amp with my B&W 601,s(series3) proved me otherwise.
The emotional impact is there everytime and isn't that important when listening to music!?
That experience for such a great price.
What also important are the speakers that you use. The play a role too. And I did ad a sub..to me it's important it can open the soundstage even more..

It's a great amp in my opinion.

Watching movies also great with the 2.1 set up.

Hello forum.

I received my Wiim Ultra a few days ago and it was a pleasant surprise.

I connected the Wiim as a preamp to a Cambridge Audio Minx Xi in the analog input, so the Ultra acts as a DAC and preamp. The speakers are Qacoustics 3050 floorstanding speakers.

I like it so much that I am thinking of buying a power amplifier.

I was thinking of the Rotel 1552 MKII or the Advanced Paris XA-160 (I would like to make a definitive purchase and have enough power). Do you think the behavior is "disproportionate"?

Any advice is welcome, budget under € 1,000, thanks.
