I have an iPhone.
I just noticed that from the Browse section in the WiiM App I can transmit to my WiiM Pro the tracks that are on my iPhone, without explicitly choosing a protocol.
What is the protocol implicitly used by this functionality?

Really does such a thing exist?
The WiiM devices are based on a Linux variant and the WiiM app communicates with them over Ethernet/wi-fi. So under the hood it could be using ftp or a variant thereof, or some other means such as http live streaming (HLS). I guess they use similar for their Linkplay multi room groups. By calling it a Linkplay protocol, I’m just trying to say that it’s not one of the other well known streaming protocols like Chromecast etc so you don’t need to worry about whether your device is compatible or not, the WiiM app and WiiM device handle it.
