So I bought the Wiim amp ultra and it's playing front left front right and my sub.
My question is which Wiim device do I need to power my rear speakers for wireless 5.1 Dolby?
With so many options it's kind of confusing to me.
I'd rather not buy another Wiim Amp Ultra since those guys are running for almost $600.
I see several other Wiim devices in the $300 price range. That's more in line with what I'm looking to spend, especially if I need to have 3 devices in the end.
I also wont need a screen on the follower devices since only the amp ultra will be visible.

Hi

If your rear speakers are passive, the WiiM Amp should work fine.

Do you need a center speaker?

If so, ideally choose a passive center speaker from the same brand as your front speakers and connect it to the WiiM amp as well. However, personally, I believe a center speaker is often unnecessary. (WiiM supports virtual 5.1)

If you're using active speakers for the rear, the WiiM Pro is fine.

Thanks for the quick response! I have a set of 5 Klipsch speakers with a center speaker and a separate sub. I'm thinking of going with your suggestion of a Wiim amp for now. Maybe down the road I'll grab another Wiim amp if I really miss that center speaker.
Thanks again!

Just in case you weren't aware, I thought I'd let you know.

Please note that currently, RoomFit and EQ are disabled in the Wireless Dolby group.
