Why doesn't WiiM Home have simple playlist features?

For example, I want to combine folders 1 and 2 from my MinimServer into one playlist, but I don't see an "Add to playlist" option. Additionally, even though I can add songs to the queue, when I enter the queue, I can't search within it—which is really strange. Am I just not familiar with how to use it yet?

Another thing is about presets. I added a folder to a preset, but when I open the preset, it doesn't function like a playlist. Can anyone help with this?

My needs are simple: I just want to combine my favorite songs from different folders into a playlist, so I can quickly access it later, with support for search and sorting functions.

I don't really know much about this particular issue, but a quick search of the forum returned this thread which might be useful. (Apologies if this is not what you were referring to with your query.)

Hi,

How do I create a playlist? I have a load of mp3 files on my computer that I would like to steam through the app in various playlists. There is a playlist tab in the app and not one in the desktop app that I can see.
Any solution?

I acded a minimserver folder as a preset and when I choose that preset it puts the files from that folder into the queue, replacing the current queue..
So no, not a playlist as such.

Are you expecting something more akin to:
On Android using Bubbleupnp I can Enqueue a bunch of minimserver folders into the queue and then save the queue as a playlist.

Yes, thank you for your reply. Bubbleupnp can do this easily, but when I want to add my favorite songs, I can only add them one by one. Is WiiM really not capable of (batch operations)? This is a very basic playlist requirement, and the current preset logic doesn't quite fit (user habits).

Yup, use the feedback feature in WHA.

They should be keeping at least one of their major competitors' units on hand. Just tell them you want it to mimic the, "Device Playlist," feature on Eversolo streamers.

You can mix music from multiple sources onto a single playlist on Eversolos. I have a playlist with several songs from Apple Music, several songs from Qobuz, and several songs from my personal library stored to the NVMe drive, all in the same playlist on my Eversolo.
