Was it really worth releasing this less than a week after the last update without including "Smart Presets"?

Listening with headphones via a DAC or a bluetooth dongle, other than switching manually turning the subwoofer panel off every time I switch between headphone and speaker listening , how do I disable USB simultaneous subwoofer output?

For the Amp, many wondered what the point of having usb audio out was. Headphone use was the main (only?) reasonable answer.
So for the amp, it absolutely makes sense that sub on/off should be output specific, not just yes/no.
While I greatly applaud wiim's development efforts and continued functionality improvements, it's amazing to me how often wiim don't seem to think about how a product will actually be used.
There are numerous other examples of somewhat flawed initial implementations, although again, I commend wiim on listening and responding to the feedback.

I'm also slightly surprised how not being able to choose sub on/off per output hasn't really been raised for the ultra until usb with sub out came along. Surely the same issue exists no matter what output you use for headphones.

Maybe you want more power (amps) down the line and want to upgrade the internal dac? External headphone amp? Who knows. Either way having this feature allows for more flexibility for different users and more importantly keeps the user in the WiiM ecosystem.

The USB digital stream offers users a diverse range of options for alternative audio. Users are responsible for the hardware and, or software used with the stream. The benefit is total freedom of choice. Spend as much or as little as you like. It’s possible to repurpose down stream devices you already own.

In my case headphones are important. I use both wired and BT over-the-ear devices. So far I’ve found I prefer Adaptive Aptx over my iOS devices’ ACC. The Fosi Audio DS2 DAC sounds better to me than the onboard DAC in my B&W Px7 s2e headphones. The WiiM AMP EQ can be applied to the USB stream. This means I don’t have to use or cope with the lack luster EQ in the different listening device apps. The lack of native user controlled EQ in iOS is finally irrelevant.
