Wiim Amp FW stuck in 5.0.709965

Hello everyone,

Scratching my head since Wiim support won’t reply to my ticket and I’m trying to figure this out.

Bought a Wiim Amp last week, set it up with no issues and updated the firmware via the iOS app on Sat 15, but my firmware version is not listed in the official release notes.

It’s not an Amp Pro, since it has a PCB v7, no Blue LED in Bluetooth mode nor the taller case feet.

What I’m trying to find out is why I’m running an unlisted FW version (no beta join option is available) and how I can get the latest 5.0.711031 update.

Not sure if I got a defective unit and need to RMA.

Hello friend, I just received a reply from Wiim support,

Apparently our Wiim Amp is a newer board revision and the firmware isn’t currently unified, they told me to expect an OTA tomorrow.

Let’s hope for the best!

Just want to let you know I got the update yesterday, went without a hitch but the notification mentioned 5.2.711952 is available but when installed it shows as 5.0.711952.

Everything is working as expected so I assume no issues.
