Hello,

I currently have a WiiM ultra and GoldenEar sub (LFE plugin for the sub) as well as two active WIFI speakers eligible for the Linkplay environment.

So I control the 2.1 installation (in stereo) on WiiM home application via the group function (see in attachement).

Do you see an added value in connecting a WiiM amp pro via optical cable to the WiiM ultra?

Is the use of the WiiM ultra as a pre-amp wise? My speakers are connected to Wifi and the sub via LFE, did the WiiM amp pro improve the amplification and gain adjustment?

Do you think the WiiM ultra remote control can control the WiiM ?

You can only use the WiiM Amp pro downstream of the Ultra and with PASSIVE speakers.

Source > Ultra > Amp Pro > Speakers

Before someone jumps in - yes you could use the Amp Pro ahead of the Ultra but there would be absolutely no point in doing so at all

As.long as you don't plan to replace your network speakers there's no point in adding a WiiM Amp Pro to the mix. The WiiM Ultra is still their top-of-the line network preceiver and it's more versatile than the Amp Pro.

The WiiM remotes are interchangable between all devices that actually do support a remote. You can unpair a remote from one WiiM device and pair it to another one any time. One remote cannot be connected to two devices at the same time.
