I’ve moved Wiim Amp to another Wifi network than where it was originally connected when I first installed it. For some reason it is switching back to the original Wifi network on its own sometimes. Is it possible to forget the pervious Wifi network somehow without factory resetting the whole device?

I think it is little bit suspicious that it even remembers the password for previous Wifi. There isn’t even any option to switch the Wifi network manually so why it saves the password?

May I first ask which steps you took so far to connect the WiiM Amp to the new network?

I moved my phone to the new network, then pressed the volume button for ~5s and added the device as new device in the phone’s app.

I’d like to separate IoT and media devices from other more important devices so it is not nice if one of the media devices doesn’t stay where it should.

Unfortunately, it looks like you already did exactly what you can do about it (short of a factory reset). :(

We've had this discussion before and obviously the answer is still the same. No way to forget previously used networks other than a reset.

Could you work around this restriction by limiting WiiM Amp's access to the IoT SSID in your router(s)?

Did you link to Alexa? It may be using “frustration free setup” and getting your network details from other connected devices - see https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=GMPKVYDBR223TRPY

If you have linked it to Amazon, you can try deleting saved passwords in your Amazon account under manage your devices & content / preferences.
I didn’t link Alexa. I find it concerning regarding cybersecurity that it remembers stuff that it shouldn’t.
