Wiim Amp & Topping E50

Is it worth adding a Topping E50 DAC to my Wiim Amp via USB? Does it improve the sound or is the Wiim's internal DAC better or equal to the Topping one? Excuse my English? Thanks.

That will not work!

Adding an external DAC will skip the amplifier and you will need another one after the DAC. Will only make sense if the added DAC is used for a Headphone.

Sorry, I forgot to say that I would connect it to a Yamaha Rx-v385 amplifier. But would the sound improve with a DAC or would the internal DAC of the Wiim amp be enough? Thanks again

Only a test can tell you that.

But what is the point of having a Amp if you don't use it?

A more standard approach would be to use a Mini or Pro with the E50 and the Yamaha. I use a Pro with my E50 and it works very well. For what it's worth technically what you are suggesting will probably work using Usb out from the Amp, whether the Wiim Amp to E50 to Yamaha would sound better than the Amp alone would be your decision. However, it really does seem an odd direction to take unless you have all of the kit sitting around in your house to try.
