Hi
Can you tell us a bit more about your problem to help us understand it?

1) What sources are you playing? Do you experience the same issue with more than one source?

2) Does the same issue occur when pressing the Play or Preset button on the Amp Ultra screen?

3) Open the network status in the WiiM app and check the numbers circled in red for anomalies. It would be helpful if you could post a screenshot.

Please check the operation with 'DNS', 'Wi-Fi roaming' and 'IPv6' all switched off in this image. Also try turning each toggle on and off.

Try rebooting the device and the router. (Unplug the power cable).

Reinstalling the WiiM app may solve the problem.

If the problem is not resolved after trying everything, please submit a ticket via the feedback section of the WiiM app.

1. Tidal conect and tidal in wiim app and both have this issue

2. I don’t use it much, but I don’t think so. The problem is recurring but not systematic, so it’s hard to tell.

I recall that Tidal has often reported issues here. Please check if other streaming services (e.g. Turnin, Spotify, etc.) have the same issue.

Just to be perfectly clear on this one: There is not one generally right setting with the other being wrong. If it was that easy we wouldn't need a toggle switch.

It really depends on your environment, your network and even your ISP which setting for DNS server, Wi-Fi roaming and IP V6 will work best for you. WiiM picked reasonable default values but if something doesn't go smoothly the idea is to try to flick each of these switches and see if it makes a difference ... or not.

The result might just be that there's no difference or that things are getting worse. You really have to try for yourself. Just one example: With "Server DNS préféré" enabled the WiiM Amp Ultra will try to connect Google's DNS servers (instead of those provided by your Internet Service Provider) when resolving host names to IP addresses. Traditionally, many ISPs had somewhat neglected their DNS servers and Google's servers were a lot quicker. But this is not necessarily the case (any more). In your region and with your ISP their own DNS servers might just beat Google's servers in performance. The only way to find out is to try both.

But I agree that the problem is not too unlikely related to Tidal.
