Currently using 2 Wiim Amps, 1 for telly system and the 2nd for the main rig driving Heco Direkt Dreiklangs, to save leccy and valve time on my MasterSounD Compact 845 for casual listening.
Just snagged a used Ultra so going to play with the Ultra + Wiim Amp as a wifi connected Pre/Power, and also use the RCA out of the Ultra into the Direct in on the MasterSounD. That way I'll have 2 separate Pre/Pwr setups, one all Wiim and the other with a valve power amp, will just need to swap SCs at the speaker dependant on Amp used.
If I like the end result of the full Wiim setup I will maybe look at selling on my £8.5k amp, £2.5k phono, Innuos ZeniTH and mega pimped Black Ice DSD DAC. A big ask for £650 of kit I know, but it's the sound, NOT the ticket price that counts.
