Hi all,

The volume control in Wiim home is locked for my Wiim amp. This has never happened before today. Any ideas?
I have raised a support ticket, but thought I'd also try the community. I've also searched the internet and nothing comes up...

There isn't an option in the app that lets you select fixed volume for the Amp. For the Pro/Pro+/Ultra, yes because that makes sense.

Thanks for your helpful comment though
How about the universal IT fix of turn it off and on again 🤣

I have tried the following, all made no difference:
Reboot amp from app
Hard reset amp
Un-install/re-install Home app
Adjust volume using HDMI CEC
Adjust volume using physical control on front of device
Swearing out loud

I would send feedback through the app then

So, is there sound coming out of the speakers?
I've never seen a padlock before either. 🤣

Yes, apart from volume being locked, it's working as normal.
I don't see the remote icon on the device card, are you not using a remote?

If you are using a remote, please check to see if it is paired correctly.

I'm having trouble pairing it, but I have hardly ever used the remote. Why would the remote have anything to do with this?
I'll keep trying though just to ruel it out. Thanks.

Is there any possibility that this happened because I tried the beta version of the home app for Mac?

It can be done with a windows app.
That's exactly what I thought, but couldn't test until now. However, the Windows version not only locks the volume when using the toggle switch, it also sets the level to 100%. This is not necessarily the case with the MacOS version, so ...

... it's well possible.

If you are brave enough, try it again. :) It shouldn't be a problem to reset the toggle switch, just in case.

Nope, I have the same Mac OS version and never had any issues with it.

Sometimes there can be random issues, ej my WiiM Amp last week auto reset itself to factory settings.. had to configure it all over again.
