I wouldn't know how to do that if I wanted to.Hi all,
The volume control in Wiim home is locked for my Wiim amp. This has never happened before today. Any ideas?
I have raised a support ticket, but thought I'd also try the community. I've also searched the internet and nothing comes up...

There isn't an option in the app that lets you select fixed volume for the Amp. For the Pro/Pro+/Ultra, yes because that makes sense.I wouldn't know how to do that if I wanted to.
How about the universal IT fix of turn it off and on againThere isn't an option in the app that lets you select fixed volume for the Amp. For the Pro/Pro+/Ultra, yes because that makes sense.
Thanks for your helpful comment though
I have tried the following, all made no difference:How about the universal IT fix of turn it off and on again
I would send feedback through the app thenI have tried the following, all made no difference:
Reboot amp from app
Hard reset amp
Un-install/re-install Home app
Adjust volume using HDMI CEC
Adjust volume using physical control on front of device
Swearing out loud
So, is there sound coming out of the speakers?I have tried the following, all made no difference:

Hard reset amp
Un-install/re-install Home app
Adjust volume using HDMI CEC
Adjust volume using physical control on front of device
Swearing out loud
See OPI would send feedback through the app then
Yes, apart from volume being locked, it's working as normal. So, is there sound coming out of the speakers?
I've never seen a padlock before either.
I don't see the remote icon on the device card, are you not using a remote?Yes, apart from volume being locked, it's working as normal.
I'm having trouble pairing it, but I have hardly ever used the remote. Why would the remote have anything to do with this?I don't see the remote icon on the device card, are you not using a remote?
If you are using a remote, please check to see if it is paired correctly.
Remote paired. Volume is still locked.I don't see the remote icon on the device card, are you not using a remote?

It can be done with a windows app.I wouldn't know how to do that if I wanted to.
That's exactly what I thought, but couldn't test until now. However, the Windows version not only locks the volume when using the toggle switch, it also sets the level to 100%. This is not necessarily the case with the MacOS version, so ...It can be done with a windows app.
... it's well possible. Is there any possibility that this happened because I tried the beta version of the home app for Mac?
I'm pretty sure that it could be possible. Is there any possibility that this happened because I tried the beta version of the home app for Mac?
Nope, I have the same Mac OS version and never had any issues with it.Is there any possibility that this happened because I tried the beta version of the home app for Mac?
Did you happen to notice the fixed output volume toggle switch?Nope, I have the same Mac OS version and never had any issues with it.
No, that never appeared.Did you happen to notice the fixed output volume toggle switch?
