WiiM Home app for Intel Mac

Since the Apple TV app is now available, I was happy to see the WiiM Home app in the AppStore on Mac! However, it’s only for M1 or higher macs So I found the WiiM Home Beta app to download and install and it was newer than my old beta version so that made me happy … until it never opens now (I have to Force Quit out of it each time cause it won’t open). Anyone else experience this that has an Intel Mac? Mine is 2018 Mac Mini i7.

WiiM - any chance of supporting Intel Macs for the Mac AppStore version? Thanks.

I think the version in the App Store on Mac is basically a port of the mobile app. I'm afraid there never was and never will be a version that'll work on Intel devices unfortunately, now that the transition to Apple Silicon has been completed.

Maybe I can revert back to the old beta version from Time Machine and see if that’s still workable.

The latest release - 15.4.1 - a very troublesome release that broke quite a few things (but got all resolved now except for this). I was surprised how much trouble it created … probably cause I’m still on Intel.

My Mac friends are always looking for an excuse to buy a new machine. This seems like a good one to me as additionally all Intel Macs are now considered vintage by Apple.
