WiiM Home Beta v0.2.5.exe for Windows does not have music services management features.

There is no way to add or remove a music service. It will obviously play youtube music such as I have started from the mobile app here, but I cannot search for media on youtube music using the Windows app. I don't use other services but it's worth mentioning you also cannot add other services such as Tidal, Spotify... etc. etc.

Are there any plans to add basic features such as searching for media to play to the Windows app?
As it stands right now the Windows app is only good for:
- Starting and stopping music
- Choosing to go to the next song
- Displaying what is currently playing.

Hi welcome to the forum.

The PC WiiM app is a Beta Version and is primarily ment to be used to play local media files on the PC.

For other music services you may need to use their native applications, until they are maybe added to the WiiM PC app.

The Windows and MacOS versions of the WiiM Home App are rather limited in certain functionality - including a very limited set of integrated Streaming services (Qobuz and Radio Paradise only). But it does have significantly more functionality than you've listed - especially with regard to Home Music Share (local, UPnP, DNLA) sources and WiiM Configuration.

As @hgo58 said, development of the Windows and MacOS apps are low-priority beta software. WiiM has provided little comment regarding their progress or end-game. But it is likely they will never be as full-fleshed as the mobile apps - too many Streaming Providers place restrictions that favor use (and growth) of their own "native apps".

What you show with YouTube Music is actually only a "Now Playing on displayed WiiM Device" display - the Windows App is NOT "Playing the Music". Thus all actual Music queue and playlist and search/select functionality must be performed on a mobile device. Any mobile device with the WiiM Home App on the same LAN can "reach in and control" a WiiM device, including the Phone you started with...
