wiim mini connected to a soundbar via toslink but no sound after a while

Hello all, so recently i started having issues playing music from apple with my iphone. It connects fine but after a song or two it stops playing sound but on my phone is still playing, My iphone is to the latest update and so is the wiim mini. It is also connected to the same wifi, obviously. I tried almost everything as far as rebooting the wiim mini, resetting my phone, forgetting wifi network, turning of both devices for a while and it still does the same thing. Any one else is dealing with this issue and can help?? Much appreciated!!
