WiiM Mini with Echo 4th Gen to create WiiM Group with Pro Plus

Well the WiiM Mini arrived today. Have to say though that I'm more than a little disappointed that the USB Power Adaptor is no longer included. Box says inclusion varies by region. So not only do we pay a premium for WiiM products here in Australia, now they are removing previously included accessories for us as well.
We don’t get the power adaptor included in the UK either. 🤔

You could have used something like this one. 🤣

Why would a device capable of putting out two times 10 W in total ask for a T 0.5 A fuse, irrespective of the mains voltage?:devilish:⚡

50 W at 100 V, 120 W at 240 V?

No, I don't think I follow your recommendation. :ROFLMAO:

I can't even see a voltage selector switch. There must be one.
Didn't want to overstress this topic or capture the thread. It's probably just a generic picture of the back and the actual devices might have one voltage clearly marked and even different fuse markings.

I found this funny nonetheless. :)

All through the Amazon Marketplace, of course.

Yes, that's what I've been using. It's not a huge issue as I was able to get an adaptor, but it's a bit disappointing as I said. At least I didn't pay full price thanks to the Prime sales, but I do wish @WiiM Team paid more attention to their listing details.

assuming you have enabled Alexa in the Wiim Home app for your each of your WiiMs.

I probably won't need to use Alexa through the Mini, but I do have it setup in the Pro Plus. Curiously I couldn't see how to do this for the Mini in the WHA as it only shows the Alexa details for the Pro Plus.

Alexa needs to be enabled for each WiiM device in the WiiM Home app : select the device on the devices page, then go to the browse page and at the very bottom, choose Amazon Alexa then enter your account details.

Alexa needs to be enabled for each WiiM device

Even if I'm only using the WiiM Mini as a means to get the music from the Pro Plus to the Echo? I'm not setting up Alexa Groups but using the Link Icon from the Pro Plus Now Playing card. So the Echo is purely an additional speaker for the Pro Plus, with the Mini being its input source. I don't have the Echo yet but testing with a JBL Go speaker instead, it all seems to working as I'd hoped.

I was advised that if I used Alexa Groups without another WiiM device I wouldn't be able to have CD music etc. playing on the Echo. It was explained to me that adding the Mini would mean I could link both WiiMs so that all sources into the Pro Plus would play through the Mini as well. So far it seems to be doing this.
