WiiM Sound Launch Update

Over the past few months, we've been blown away by the enthusiasm for WiiM Sound, from the conversations on the forums to the energy and feedback at shows. It means so much to see how excited our community is.

However, we want to share an important update: while WiiM Sound is beginning to roll out in select international markets, U.S. availability is temporarily delayed. This is due to factors outside our control, specifically, the ongoing government shutdown, which has paused standard FCC authorization procedures.

We know many of you have been eagerly waiting, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and support. When it’s possible, WiiM will move quickly and diligently to bring WiiM Sound to the U.S. market.

We can't wait for you to experience the WiiM Sound, and we hope you’ll welcome it with the same excitement you've shown so far. Please stay tuned here on the forum and on our website for updates. We’ll announce the availability as soon as possible.

Please pardon me for a portion irony. I call it the diabolic circle of responsibility swapping.
Traditionally production blamed sales or vice versa.
Sales blamed distribution or vice versa.
All together they blamed logistics. Or vice versa.
Traaraa, another member joined the circle as final instance: Government! 😉

Thanks for the update and the, candor on the reason for the delay. Not the first connected product with a delayed U.S. Launch because of the shutdown impacting FCC approval. What if I pinkie swear not to connect it to wi-fi?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but if I have Wiim Ultra and If I would like to get 3.1 (already have a 2.1 system), can I use Wiim Sound as a central speaker for dialogues, without having 5.1?
