1st post, so hi to all.
Gradually getting my head around the Ultra, but I have a query and hopefully someone will confirm if what I propose is possible.
Can I connect the Ultra direct to my active speakers, which are Beolab 18s and also a Beolab 19 sub again which is active, but can it connect to the Subwoofer connection on the WiiM?

Are they wireless speakers?

Looks like, the speakers have RCA stereo input.

Likely you'll need RCA to stereo RCA for the sub (Y splitter)

Also have option of optical input on the speakers, but not sure how that would work, with digital out from ultra and analogue out from sub at the same time, probably doesn't function

Yes, I have daisy-chained before on a previous HIFI system, to accommodate the sub, but as the Ultra has a sub connector can I run an RCA to that rather than daisy-chain?

Optical output and sub output (RCA) work at the same time.

Hi,

As @hgo58 said, I think it will work if you connect the Ultra's optical output to Beolab 18 and the sub out to Beolab 19. (However, looking at the spec sheet, it appears that Beolab's optical input is compatible up to 24bit /96kHz.)

However, Beolab appears to have the streaming capability to handle most cast playback. What is the advantage of adding Ultra to it?

Hi, I will also hopefully be connecting my ReVox R2R to the ultra as well.
Not sure about the optical, as currently they would have to be run with sharp bends in the cable.
