I recently noticed the sample rate shown for Amazon Music on WiiM ultra is not in line with other DACs I have. I have a hard line set up from my phone (usb c > smsl PO100 Pro > ultra optical in) so I have two ways to play Amazon Music on my ultra. I noticed when using the WHA to stream Alice In Chains Unplugged on the ultra it says the sample rate is 44.1kHz but when I stream it from the Amazon app and use the hard line the rate is 192 kHz? I’ve checked the sample rate for this album on 3 different DACs (RME adi-2 fs, FiiO KA15 and Topping D70 Pro) and they all say this album is 192 kHz. I have also noticed other inconsistencies between sample rates shown on the ultra for the hard line vs. direct streaming. For example, when I stream Le Grosse Radio Reggae on the ultra using Vtuner and TuneIn it says the sample rate is 192 Kbps, 16-bit, 44.1 kHz but when I stream this station via the internet browser and use the hardline it shows 2116 Kbps, 24-bit, 44.1 kHz? Note I have double checked the ultra’s usb output resolution is set to 32-bit, 192 kHz, optical in resolution is set to 24-bit, 192 kHz and I’ve switched on the toggle in the WiiM Home App and Amazon App to use HD/UHD files for streaming. Before I submit a ticket it would be good if someone could double check to see if they see the same thing. My ultra is running the most recent firmware (5.2.739061) and I just updated the WHA to 3.4.9.
