I have a very annoying issue with the Wiim Ultra. I opened a ticket with support, but no one has replied to me yet, other then saying "we've brought this issue to our tech team...". This was a few days ago, but haven't heard since.
Set-up: I play my music through a Synology NAS. Ultra and NAS are connected to my router with a cable and my music is FLAC or WAV. I have used several streamers bebore (Cambridge, Node) and never encountered this issue. I don't think it's a network or NAS issue.
The issue: sometimes a song I play goes into a loop: it plays the first 4 seconds (always the first 4 seconds) and then it starts again and goes into a loop again. The only way to stop this behaviour is to restart the Ultra. It's happens randomly (every 2-3 days) and with any song/song format. There seem to be no consistent thread in this issue, and I can't reproduce it. There's no specific song that causes the issue.
My listening habits: I use playlists and search a lot, and I fiddle with PEQ a lot. I wonder if these actions can put too much stress on the Ultra? Just a thought.
Has anyone come across this problem, have you been able to solve it or do you have any hints?
