Song time progressbar in phone notification area gets out of sync for sqeueezelite

Yes, this is why I said, I am not sure if this is related to WiiM.
It seems it only synchronises the progress bar when the WiiM app is in the foreground. So it could be a conscious decision to save battery. I think Material skin has two options for notifications, basic and full. Full drains the battery more quickly but that doesn't even show the progress bar.

It could be a decision to save battery, but as I said TIDAL works perfectly. In practice it should only need a correct starting and end point and the seconds in between could tick without synchronization. I think the starting point gets messed up when the next song is started, atleast it looks like the case on my phone.

I got the impression that once the progress bar reached the end of a track it stayed there and didn't move on to the next track and the track duration didn't update. The track name updates but nothing else does until the app is opened. I don't use any streaming service.

For me the progressbar gets sent back to random places when the next song starts. It has happened that it got stuck on the endpoint also. I can't see a clear pattern there. Once the WiiM Home app is opened the sync is regained the progressbar shows the correct time until the next song is started.

When more than one song is played even the progressbar on WiiM Ultra unit itself is quite slow to return to beginning compared to streaming TIDAL content.

Hopefully the WiiM engineer that is assigned to the case will find the time to check it out.
