Hello guys !

Question;

We have 4 differente digital output options;

USB
Coax
Optical
HDMI Arc

Do all these 4 connections do the same internal ‘routing’ ? SO they all exclude the Wiim’s internal clock ,DAC and other systems??
And thus the Ultra only serves as a streamer device, leaving all the rest to the external DAC downstream…?

Thx

The HDMI ARC is an input only.

The SPDIF (optical and coax) is using an internal clock for synchronization of output.

USB don't use a clock (for synchronization), as it is using the USB package transfer.

The DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) is used for analog output only (RCA and headphones).

There is also a Bluetooth output and the LinkPlay multiroom connection via the network.

The digital and analog outputs all uses the DSP (EQ), except for the Bluetooth and LinkPlay.
