Wiim WiFi and analog receiver – switching

I while ago I posted the following thread here: https://forum.wiimhome.com/threads/making-powered-speakers-wireless-with-mini.3108/
Some nice folks in this forum helped me getting set up with a system that uses a vintage receiver to power a pair of analog/wired speakers and a wired sub (mains), and at the same time uses a Wiim Pro+ and two Wiim Minis to transmit the same signal to remote speakers.

Everything worked fine until recently, when I had to disconnect and re-connect things from the receiver. Even the auto-sensing of the Pro+ automatically detected the input source — except for the source switch before the Pro+ I didn't even have to switch anything in the Wiim app to pick between streaming services (vial WiFi) or CD/turntable (Line in).
I'm sure I connected and set everything up the same way as before, and the streaming services still work fine. But for some reason I don't get any sound from the turntable and the CD player anymore – and I can't figure out why that is. I know it can be done — it worked before.

I was hoping someone here can help. Thank you!

For context I attached a rough schematic of the current setup.

Best,
R

So now it's down to just WiFi, I get no sound from the wired speakers anymore at all, not even from streaming services. I get a fade sound from the sub when I crank the volume on the receiver way up (which normally would be dangerously loud). I re-wired the speakers and pulled out my backup receiver – still no sound from the wired speakers. I can't imagine the speakers to be dead.
I guess I should put that in a separate thread.

The first thing to check is that the cables are connected correctly. Can you find any in and out, right and left mistakes?

Hooked the R-2000 up again.
Guess what? Streaming services are working now – I have sound from the mains (analog/wired) as well as from the remotes (WiFi).
I swear I wired everything the same. Not sure why it works now and what was wrong before, but hey, I'll take it.

So far so good. But...
All the other sources (TT, CD...) still don't output any sound. Not sure why. They all go through a switch and then into the Wiim Pro+.
Audio input is set to WiFi, Auto-sensing of Line In is on, Output set to Line Out. It used to work just fine that way before. That was part of what I appreciated with the Pro+. It could sense if it was streaming service or another Line In source and then output WiFi and analog at the same time (plus pair and sync things). Why not anymore?!

So even if you manually set the pro+ to line in & line out, you can't hear the cd etc?
But it works if the switch output goes directly to the amp instead of via the wiim?

Also, please open the WiiM app and check again that auto-sensing is turned on.

Well... it does say "Auto-sensing of Line In is on".
I'm wondering whether the recent-ish changes to input switching is part of the 'issue' here, e.g. iirc it won't auto switch to line in if something is being streamed.

Well, I missed it.😅

Maybe so, but to switch from Wi-Fi to line-in, you have to pause the streaming, right? (From before)

Did the update prevent this from working? I will check later...

It’s working now.
Not sure what the issue was. I don’t know if the latest Wiim app update fixed or reset something.
I have to test a bit more to see if it picks up the right source consistently.
Also curious to find out what happens when you play a CD while Spotify (WiFi) is still running and what takes precedence.

I wonder if there’s a way to keep consistent volume for all sources, so that, for example, if I switch from CD to Spotify, the volume is not significantly higher or lower.

Auto switching from Wi-Fi to CD (Line-in) requires that streaming be paused.

The volume for each input is automatically memorized. "Per-source volume control" must be enabled in the audio input settings.
