I bought 1 Wiim Mini, 2 Pro, and 1 Amp, and set them all up on the same network, but in separate rooms.

And then the problems started: after grouping all of them together, FOR NO REASON AND OUT OF NOWHERE, they disconnect and only the main one keeps playing!

I bought these devices for multi-room audio, but the alarm system is TRASH! It simply doesn’t work!

How hard is it to create an option to start and stop playing at a specific time?

Now I set up the alarm, and when I arrive the next day it’s either not playing at all, or only the main device is playing because the group disconnected.

What a disappointment this poorly made investment turned out to be!!!

If I could give one piece of advice to anyone looking to use Wiim for multi-room audio with more than one device: DO NOT BUY IT! This is horrible!

Yes, earlier today the Mini, which serves as the main device, was disconnected. I tried fixing it through the app by clicking the wrench icon, but that didn’t solve the issue. I had to go to the device, power it off and on again, and only then did it start working.
Try to give the Wiim units fixed ip-adresses from the Unifi controller.

Is there a reason you have chosen the Mini as the main device ?
Have you tried making one of the Pros or the Ampas the main device ?

Initially, I had tried using the Mini as the main device.

I thought that might be causing issues, so I switched to the Amp as the main one, but the problem persisted.

Then I went back to using the Mini because it’s easier to restart — it’s more accessible.

(Yeah, I have to keep restarting it…)

I’ve already done that, but the problem persists.
Do You use any server, Lyrion, Plex, etc. Ím using Lyrion and had problems like Yours. If I had anything in the Wiim player in Lyrion Server, even if it was paused, the Wiim switcht over to Lyrion Server when there was a quiet passage it what input I was using. I think I was using Sqeezelite from Lyrion to Wiim.
