Thank you very much for your help, but actually most of those commends do not work for me - they rather trigger streamer in my Denon AVR, not WiiM. Even if I use WiiM remote and also add to the commend the Wiim's name as assigned in Alexa. I think I can only: change source, mute / unmute and...
Well, the functionality list is so long that it is probably not possible to grasp all of them why you are just a reviewer, not a long-term user. And even being "user-enthusiast" (my case:)) does not guarantee that you will understand all the functions and options - e.g. I still do not really...
Just to answer the question in the post - I am using WiiM Amp Ultra with KEFQ350 and Focal Air Sub (connected via wire). I filtered KEFs to 80+hz and plugged their bass reflex. I do not recommend this sub - looks very cool, but it is the only good thing I am able to say about it... In...
It seems to me that WiiM somehow likes me: (i) I brought my brand new Amp Ultra to Spain beg-July and this new feature was the first thing that I had spotted, (ii) I have just returned from Spain and this new feature welcomed me on my Ultra streamer. Lucky me!
Presets 5-8 were available via Remote 2 for quite a while via double-tapping 1-4 buttons. It seems that today WiiM silently introduced this great feature to the original remote! Great news and many thanks to Wiim Team! EDIT: it requires remote version 54.
Confirm - I had Amp Pro, replaced it with Amp Ultra and this sounds better (although not dramatically better). EDIT: But w/o doubt it looks much better and addition of the screen (even if sort of small) is very useful - you can easily see what is going on (if it is playing, which source, etc).
And another one - this one is from Poland (and in Polish). In short: he liked it a lot and found it to be sound-wise much better than Amp Pro and inexpensive Denon / a bit better than inexpensive Yamaha. And obviously much better than non-WiiMs in terms of functionality. -->
It would be quite impossible with the remote layout of just 4 number buttons. I think the best they could do (but probably will not as it could be too difficult to explain to the publics) is giving the access to 20 presets, which would take the following: (i) increasing the number of presets...
That's probably a bonus for being early adopters:) - I also got the update instantly, while for WiiM Ultra (that I also bought recently) usually I need to wait 2-3 days.
If that was the case then obviously there would be no problem, but apparently WiiM does not work this way - it just presents itself as media server (not a drive) and only with audio files.
Actually I made a mistake, here I have Samsung that does not support such function. But I guess that what...
And also please make sure that: (i) when using with AVR via optical make the volume of WiiM at 100% (so you would not have double attenuation) and probably turn off any signal processing such as room correction, EQ, etc in WiiM - you probably already have this setup in your AVR (Audyssey, etc)...
