NIGHT MODE?
The recent fixes have resolved most (albeit minor) issues from the first version, and the app is now working excellently – great job! For me, this app is a very useful addition to the WiiM ecosystem – I use it frequently, especially during late night listening sessions.
And here...
No responses here, but Ultra just arrived and I can confirm that it does support dolby via optical. Probably WiiM Team could correct the information on their page...
I have a quick question: my WiiM Amp Pro apparently accepts Dolby signals via Optical in. Is this also the case with WiiM Ultra? Asking as I just bought one (it is in transit from Amazon), but when I now more carefully reviewed the Ultra's tech specs published on WiiM page it seems that Dolby...
It seems that WiiM have fixed it - as of now Now Playing screen shows: 1) Album Art, 2) Track Title (in nice, larger font + with small animation showing if the track is playing or paused), 3) Artist * Album Name and 4) file properties (e.g. FLAC 2818kbps 24-bit/96kHz - in nice, smaller font)...
Very nice addition - I am using it all the time with my new Amp Pro. One thing requires some improvement - the Now Playing screen shows the Track Name and below the Album Name, but there is no info on the Artist. Is it possible to add this info in front of the Album Name* (as is the case in...
Dear planetti,
Nice ideas! However those assume that it is possible that the system would recognize "quick presses", which to me seems more problematic (both: technically and UI clarity-wise) than long presses only. I like your idea of "setup configurations" (it is quite similar to what I...
Another idea: long press on Play/Pause button cycles through the presets (i.e. moves to the next preset).
Obviously, there is a risk of confusing useres here, but you could make all those long presses an option (by dafualt: off) in the Remote menu (so there could be a toogle: "Allow long...
My WiiM Remote has just arrived and I believe that this is absolutely great, must-have add-on to WiiM streamers (unless you are one of those people that do not need a watch as… they have one in the cellphone:)).
However, there are a few things that hopefully WiiM could do (via firmware...
Apparently this is not that simple - I have risen this as an official ticket to WiiM Support and they did not have an instant answer for me (such as suggested by Brantome) and they have proposed to investigate this and revert to me. So apparently they do not know "why" either?
And this is perfectly fine for me - I understand that whatever is transmitted via Airplay would be converted = not bit perfect. My problem is that it is not converted to ALAC (i.e. lossless, but this is not equal to "bit perfect"), but apparently to AAC (which means conversion to a sort of mp3...
Dear Brantome, many thanks for these detailed explanations. It is unbelievable what a mess this Airplay causes, especially as going back 10 years or so (when using Airport Express for streaming) this worked near-perfect... Now I have the following matrix (see point d) - which is...
