Well, somehow I believe that this is not all about money and sometimes a kind word may be of value too. But obviously you are entitled to your own (surprisingly strong?) opinions...
It probably depends on what functionalities you actively use, but e.g. for me the following are among the core add-ons:
a) TV app changing the way I can “view” the music I am playing,
b) Much enhanced room correction
c) Better remote usability with more presets available - small thing but really...
I’m thrilled to share my excitement about the new firmware and software that now have arrived for all my Ultra, Amp Ultra, iPhone, and Apple TV. Frequent and substantial updates from WiiM have significantly enhanced my post-purchase satisfaction and the improvements in functionalities are often...
This would be a great add-on - I often sit quite off-center the speakers and need to manually adjust the balance. With this addition it would be possible to have e.g. two presets - one for a sweet spot (ideally - with appropriate RoomFit profile for this spot - this would take also adding...
A CD Player (transport), but with a footprint / color matching WiiM Amp Ultra. This should connect to Amp Ultra via USB (only available digital input), but also have 2 additional USB ports (passthrough from Amp) allowing to connect USB Disk and, most importantly, USB DAC (effectively: to the...
Just out of curiosity - have you tried the combination of 200mV while increasing Pre-Gain (for particular source) in Audio Input section? I am not saying it is ideal, but maybe it could temporarily help?
If they don't then apparently they would need a pre-amp - and the one built into WiiM Ultra should do the job. If they do, then you can put the line out at a bit higher level and attenuate in your integrated amp? Please note that I do not try to invalidate your request - maybe adding a bit...
Good point, but he might mean that it is simply too loud, decreasing the "resolution" of volume control (too high on low volumes, overload at medium volumes). But in fact - I do not know, so I will shut up:).
Have you ever tried to suggest an improvement to Apple? Good luck;). EDIT: Clarification: in fact companies implement software updates, but rarely listening to the users and I agree that very often the updates do not work properly. I disagreed that there are many companies like WiiM that...
I understood that @Orcker wants to use volume control built into his other gear. If not, then obviously you are right - it would not be very practical to replace potentiometer with input sensitivity matching the requested volume:).
Strongly disagree. Most companies do not do this at all and those that actually counter in the users requests are really extremely rare (I mentally reviewed all my gear, hi-fi and all other, including other electronics, home appliances, cars, etc. and literally cannot name ONE):). EDIT...
As far I know, each additional attenuator in the chain (especially: those working in digital domain) degrades the signal to some extent. I personally do not bother that much and often use double attenuation (one in WiiM Ultra, one in my integrated amp) for convenience (WiiM remote / laptop...
