Curious to hear how many of other Ultra users out there have added an external phono preamp. Personally I haven't, because for the occasional listening, it sounds good enough to my ears :)

One week in, I'm just happy we finally got where we are :) All sounding great on the WiiM Ultra & Sony WF-1000XM4's (which have cooked their internal batteries for the 2nd time, but that's a whole different story :cry:)

You do you. Means there's one more WiiM device left for those who properly use it with WiFi. There's no license required on the encoder side (the source phone/tablet) because Sony contributed LDAC as a part of AOSP. However the decoder library is proprietary, so receiving devices require licenses.

Yesssss maybe it's time to get the GUI on point, now that the constant flow of new features is starting to dwindle a bit (let's not forget about Plex though ;))
