Yep, same voor me, both WiiM devices shown as being on another network. They are both connected via fixed ethernet but are in the same IP subnet. But it works ok, so fine for me.

Also controlling Plex from WHA results in a situation where Plex does not show the media as playing. As a result Plex also does not scrobble the played songs to Last.FM.

The biggest problem I have with Chromecast is that I cannot use it when I want to cast from Plex on my Windows PC. And I use my PC to control the entire house, including selecting which music is playing where. Also Chromecast does not support gaples playback which is annoying when playing live...

In my setup the WiiM's appear as "on other network" as well when I am using Spotify. But they also show up on the local network but as Chromecast endpoints. My network has one subnet and one DHCP server. It doesn't bother me, but I have no idea why it works that way.

It's not Plex that is causing the problem, it is either the router or the WiiM (or both).

Yes, that means now your NAS and WiiM are in the same subnet when 255.255.255.0 is applied as a subnet mask. I have seen this happening a lot, also with routers supplied by ISP's.

A lot of consumer network devices cannot correctly handle a network mask other than 255.255.255.0, even though you can often supply a different mask as you did. I assume this is the problem with the WiiM as well.
