WiiM reporting the wrong track as playing to Plex server

Today I tried the Plex integration in the WiiM Home app again and I was pleasantly surprised, it works well, my music library is shown well. Also recently played tracked I played in Plexamp are shown.

However, there is one annoying issue, somehow the wrong track is reported as playing to the Plex server. I started an album and when I looked in the Plex management console the next track on the album was always reported as playing instead of the current track. This is not an issue with wrong tagging in my library. Also the WiiM app itself is showing the right track. This bug also affects Last.FM as the wrong track is being scrobbled. Anyone else has this problem?

I use plex to stream local library from NAS. Not sure what you mean by management console? If I open up the web interface to plex on my NAS and click on activity it shows the correct tracks, i.e the ones that are actually playing - just as shown in Wiim home.

Don't suppose this helps much but all works for me.

By management console I mean, either Plex Dash on smartphone/tablet or on the Plex webinterface (or Windows app) go to the activity icon (right top of window) and select dashboard. That shows all activity on that specific server. And strangely enough that always show the next track in my playlist, not the currently playing track.

To give an example.

Here is a screen shot of the WiiM home app. It is playing the first track of the album and that is the track I was actually hearing.

At the same time I made the next screenshot, which is the management console of my Plex server. And that is showing the second track in the album as playing.

The track shown in the console is also the track that is scrobbled to Last.FM. Which means the first track on my playlist is never scrobbled and the first track that I will not be playing is scrobbled incorrectly.

Does it do that right from the start of the track? I've tested just now and see the correct track in the Plex dashboard when a track starts playing but about 40 s before the end the dashboard switches to the next track like your example. I guess the WiiM device is pre-fetching the next track into a buffer to enable gapless playback?

I can't replicate this either... I only use plex integration to play music, both plex web and Tautulla correctly report what is playing, very strange....

Not exactly right from the start, I briefly shows the first track in the playlist but skips very fast to the second one. And as a result the first track is never scrobbled to Last.FM. And for the subsequent tracks, it shows the next track in the dasboard for the duration of the (previous) track. It is mostly a nuisance to me because my Last.FM stats are now incorrect.
