The original comment was to find a solution to use the WIIM remote to control volume for an integrated amp or dac preamp that usually use IR.
You have to have the Wiim remote and the sidekick together to control both devices. The sidekick clips to the side and allows for simple one hand operation.
Ok that's what I wanted to know if I was still waiting for something updated within the app. Sounds like we are waiting for Plex to be added under Music Service.
So I've have the updated firmware now, but don't see anything different from the App. I see Plex as an option for Media server source but that has always been that way for me.
I also see Wiim Pro as a device on my Plex app. Is this the change this beta is giving me?
I also posted this on the LMS forums and not much help there either.
I did update to 8.5 and now it seems to have improved. I happened a few times in the beginning but has not happened over the last week.
Fingers crossed.
It really is an experiment to see what sounds best in your system. I did a lot A/B testing to find the right combination for all my equipment. The more expensive option was not always the winner for me.
Don't forget about room treatment, speaker placement, and the EQ built into the Wiim. Those...
Not specifically the Pro Plus but I have the Pro connected to my Audio-GD R7 Mk2. It sounds amazing. I actually replaced a higher priced streamer for the Wiim when using Toslink.
I have my Wiim Pro connected to Audio-GD R7 mk2 DAC via optical and find it better than coax. I"m using the stock optical cable and it's smoother and removes some of the edginess I hear when using coax connection.
I'm using a 5v LPS to feed my Wiim and also find it improves the sound over...
Any one having this issue? It started for me yesterday. I would play a song or playlist. After 1 or 2 songs it's unable to respond to any play commands. Play, pause, or next. I can load different songs or playlists but it does not play.
I have to restart the server to get it to work and then...
Every time I get a delivery notification I get one on my Wiim Pro. It causes the music to pause and a little annoying. Is there anyway to disable it on my device?
I would like to assign a couple of my custom eq settings as one of the 4 first presets so I can switch between them without having to use the app to do it.
Is there a way to set one of my saved EQ settings as one of the first 4 presets? I'm looking to be able to switch between 2 from the remote and not have to use the app.
