I’ve added a Linear Power Supply or rather swapped one in for the supplied switching supply and it’s made a slight positive difference, not really a mod though … I use my WPP as a transport

I have both and your amp I prefer the pro plus assuming you are using the pro plus dac .. otherwise it’s hard to tell the difference if using the Yamaha’s dac .. having said all that I have the Pro Plus in the system with the Yamaha and the Pro in a different casual set up now .. if that helps

I’m newly running Wiim Pro Plus configured for bit perfect into Holo Cyan 2 dac and find I need to use 10 db Rothwell attenuators for my amp into Klipsch Quartets 97bd .. so wondering how you ended up ?

DG OSS is great and good to know I could play my record via the Wiim Pro Plus if I wanted , not thought of doing that yet I just play from TT into Phono and on to Amp and Speakers

I’ve always thought if a piece of kit didn’t have a power switch (off and on) then it must be designed to be on 24/7 , hopefully someone from Wiim will confirm or otherwise

So if it’s in the same category then some will hear a difference, I must say I wasn’t a believer of glass vs plastic for optical but damm me I got a glass cable and heard a difference.. so perhaps the OP if it’s affordable could try a cable instead of Wi-Fi and test what they hear …
