The AVR dac is being used if you are sending it digital from the WiiM Pro, so this "brightness" could be a reflection of that. When you say "straight to the avr", do you mean the roon was connected through an analog input?

Hi, the WiiM Home App for Windows (beta version, somewhat restricted, rarely updated) has a "My Music" folder that links to your "Music" folder in Windows. It should allow you to stream content from that folder directly to your WiiM over WiFi. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, please.

You can probably run the turntable through the rca line in jacks on the back of the WiiM, but you'll likely need a phono preamp in between, as the WiiM doesn't have one built-in. Not certain myself how this would sound, or whether the analog signal in from the TT is converted twice = from analog...

I only have a Pro, so someone with an Ultra will need to step in. In the meanwhile, have you tried adjusting the line out voltage settings on the Ultra, or the line in settings on the input device? Tried a different set of RCA cables? That said, I can't even guess why they would want a video...

Very occasionally, this happens to me, too. I basically have to reboot the DLNA server (a linux machine running Universal Media Server), which apprarently repairs the server's file database. Since it's rare and that fixes it, I haven't delved into the details of what might be going on.

I recall that happening once or so on my iPad. What happens when you click Device Info and Check for Updates? I get a small rocket pic with the text, "WiiM Pro is up to date."

I don't know what DAC is in that Marantz, but it's not that old. Sure it can't play hi-def files, or do you mean it just outputs everything at 16/44?

Tho' that shag looks like it's maybe had a bit too much shagging, I do like the WiiM feet, want some of those .... Monstrous cables to the towers, they must take lots of power, bet it sounds wonderful and keeps the neighbors hating.

I see plenty of BNC<>RCA (coax) adapters on Amazon for very little $. No experience using ....
