Guys i want to know if you can recomend me, i have 2 zones (Terrace + living).
Living: 2 in wall speakers 6.5"
Terrace: 2 outdoor speakers 6.5"

I am thinking in 2 options:
- 2 wiim mini + 1 russound multichannel amp
- 2 wiim amp

Which is the best cost-effective+seamless use of the multizone speakers? What do you think?

Does someone has a better idea to power this 2 zones?

Thanks

Welcome.

What is it you'll be playing (mostly)? The mini may not be the best choice for a variety of reasons.
If you do go for one multichannel amp, do both sets of speaker wires go to the same place?

Thanks for the reply.

Mostly airplay 2 and spotify. I am thinking the 2 wiim minis because of the cost.

Yes, both set of speakers are wired to the same fuerniture. I have an ethernet cable available but wiim mini does not need it.

Do you want both zones to be able to play different music at the same time?
Does the russound amp you're considering support two separate sources playing to two zones simultaneously, or is it one that auto switches between the inputs so only one can be used at a time?

Maybe instead I'll just tell you what I think :)

How much does 2 minis plus a multizone amp really save you vs two wiim amps?
If it were me I'd choose 2 wiim amps.

There are of course many other options, but we won't get into that!

I went the Russound Amp route. I was able to pick up a 6 zone (12 channel) amp used for about $250 a couple years back. I am currently running 4 zones in my house with Wiim Pros as the streamers (ethernet and trigger out functionality over the Mini).

If you are only planning on doing two zones for audio, I think the Wiim Amps will be your best bet. If you are wanting to add more zones in the future you would just need to do some back of the napkin math on what your cost would be for an amplifier, streamer and speakers per zone.

Personally, I prefer Ethernet connections, so I'd compare two WiiM Pros and a multi-zone amplifier or two WiiM Amps. I was building my system out slowly and wanted to be as minimal as possible, which is why I have two of my WiiM Amps in my living room cabinet (living room + back porch speaker wires go there).
