5.1 Issues

Hello everyone, I am running a 4.1 system with the WiiM Ultra as the master and a WiiM Pro as the slave for surround sound. I have set everything up according to the instructions and the Ultra also displays 5.1 AC3 sound.

However, when watching movies, the voice regularly jumps back and forth between the front and surround speakers. The tonality/surround sound also changes briefly and then jumps back again. I have already increased the latency in the Pro, but that didn't help.

Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone know what could be causing it and how to fix it?

When this occurs you should submit a ticket via the more/feedback section in the WiiM Home app so WiiM engineers can inspect your logs for evidence of the issue.

Hi

First, open your TV's Audio settings and check what modes are available for the digital audio output.

Besides PCM, you should find modes like Bitstream, Pass-through, Auto, etc. Try all modes other than PCM.

I know, I tried different modes, but it's set to bitstream, not PCM.
