Hi,

I've had the Wiim Ultra for about a year now.

I use it with a Marantz PM6001 Amp, a Samsung TV, and an Apple TV 4K, and I'm very happy with it.

But this morning, I experienced a problem for the first time. And from what I can tell, this problem has happened before.

Here are the details:

As usual, I opened Spotify on my phone and selected my song. Then, when I selected the Wiim Ultra as the device, I experienced a huge explosion of sound. I immediately tried to lower the volume, but I couldn't turn it down from the Wiim menu on my phone or the Volume button on the Wiim Ultra. The volume was 100%, and it appeared locked. So I had to turn off the amplifier. However, when I went to bed, there were no problems.

Resetting the Wiim didn't help, and after unplugging and replugging it, the device returned to normal.

In conclusion: The device's locking the volume level up to 100% is a very serious issue, and this can cause panic and damage my speakers.

It's important for the technical team to investigate this issue. Because the volume level remains locked, it can't be lowered.

The software version installed on the device: 5.2.736552

Best regards

Hi, welcome to the user forum.

Did you raise a ticket to @WiiM Support via the WiiM Home App "more"-"feedback" option?

If you encounter this again, then immediately raise a ticket, as it will then include a device log for the support team to investigate.
